As at Stimulus 2018, groups and organizations will wish to organize meetings, social events and training as satellite events to take place around Stimulus 2020. The satellite events are marketed by the conveners as well as this website and #Stimulus2020 social media. We encourage the satellite events to consider Ottawa and Gatineau as host cities.
Stimulus 2020 is not able to financially support people coming in early for these events, nor the venue related costs. However, we have been offering this as one of the ways governments or businesses can support Stimulus 2020. As of March 1, we have received notice of a small amount of designated funding.

In 2018, Stimulus had 20 satellite events. The event conveners included Alberta Community Council on HIV (ACCH), Canadian Association of People Who Use Drugs (CAPUD), Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse (CRISM), Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy, CATIE, Harm Reduction Nurses Association, International Network on Hepatitis among Substance Users (INHSU), members of Alberta’s Wellbriety community, the national drug checking collaborative, Moms Stop the Harm, and Streetworks.
